A MOTORCYCLIST IN his 20s has died in a two-vehicle collision in Cork.
Gardaí are investigating the incident, which occurred on the Drimoleague to Skibbereen road (R593) outside Skibbereen at approximately 4pm today.
The bike collided with a car and the motorcyclist was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver of the car was taken to Cork University Hospital with injuries described as not life threatening.
This stretch of road is currently closed to facilitate an examination by Garda Forensic Collision Investigators and local diversions are in place.
