Muslim woman punched in the head and kicked off London bus by attackers

Police have released images of the two women who assaulted and abused the woman.

POLICE IN LONDON have released images of two women after a Muslim woman was punched in the head and verbally abused on a bus.

Officers were called to reports of a woman being subject to racial and Islamophobic abuse on a route 63 bus in Southwark on 28 October. The woman, who is in her forties, had been punched in the head and kicked off the bus by two female suspects.

They also shouted abuse at her before and after the attack. The woman was badly shaken and was taken to hospital for treatment. She has since been discharged.

Both suspects are described as black females aged in their twenties. Police said they are keen to hear from anyone who recognises the women in the images released today.

It is believed that a number of passengers may have filmed the incident and taken pictures of the suspect and police are also urging anyone with footage or images of the incident to get in touch.
