Each whiskey at Midleton Distillery is a labour of love, crafted with almost 200 years of experience.
When the Murphys established Midleton Distillery in 1825, it fast became one of the biggest producers of Irish whiskey in the world.
The upheaval of the 20th century meant the Irish whiskey industry came under threat, but in 1966, Cork Distilleries Company, John Jameson & Son and John Power & Son came together to save single pot still whiskey. They decided to move all whiskey-making from Dublin to Midleton and make it their new home.
Today Midleton is one of the most famous whiskey distilleries in the world. We are incredibly proud to play our part in driving the global renaissance of Irish whiskey. It’s quite simply in our DNA, and we hold Ireland’s most wide-ranging collection of whiskeys, including the quintessential pot still style.
