POLICE ARE APPEALING for information following the theft of two owls from an open farm in the Bangor Road area of Newtownards.

Stolen

The two European Eagle owls were stolen from the Ark Open Farm, which is involved in the preservation of rare and endangered species of domestic animals.

It’s believed the two four-year-old owls were stolen from the farm sometime between Tuesday 2 February and Wednesday 3 February during the hours of darkness.

Police have issued an appeal to the public for help.

We are investigating and would appeal to anyone who saw any suspicious activity in the area, or anyone who sees the owls or is offered similar owls for sale in suspicious circumstances to contact police in Newtownards.
