BRITAIN’S PRINCE HARRY and actress Meghan Markle will marry on 19 May at St George’s Chapel in Windsor Castle near London, Kensington Palace confirmed today.
“His Royal Highness Prince Henry of Wales and Ms Meghan Markle will marry on 19 May, 2018,” the couple’s official London residence said in a statement.
Markle will be baptised and confirmed for the wedding and intends to become a British citizen, Harry’s spokesman Jason Knauf told reporters last month.
The couple announced their engagement last month in London. The couple said they were enjoying “a cosy night” at home in his cottage in the grounds of Kensington Palace earlier this month — “trying to roast a chicken” — when he got down on one knee.
Markle, an American actress and former model best known for her role in drama series Suits, has been in a relationship with Prince Harry, 33, since June 2016.

The wedding will not carry as much pomp as the wedding of Harry’s brother William, who married Kate Middleton at Westminster Abbey in 2011.
Indeed, Downing Street last month said that there were no plans to have the day marked as a public holiday.
