1. #LOWRY: The Criminal Assets Bureau is investigating the finances of independent TD Michael Lowry, RTE is reporting. Lowry will get an hour to speak about the findings of the Moriarty Tribunal into payments to politicians this evening in the Dail from 7pm. The debate on the findings kicks off in the chamber at 5pm. Already today, Taoiseach Enda Kenny has been describing how €33m of the €42m cost of the Moriarty Tribunal went to the State’s legal team.

2. #RADIATION: Trace amounts of radiation from Fukushima have been detected in Dublin and Glasgow. However, the Radiological Protection Institute of Ireland has been reassuring us that it is “not a matter for concern”.

3. #DUNE BUGGY DEATH: A Special Olympics medal winner died in a tragic dune buggy accident in Co Mayo yesterday. It has emerged today that the use of such vehicles is prohibited on the stretch of beach where she was killed.

4. #SYRIA: The entire Syrian government cabinet has resigned today. It is the latest attempt to calm violent protests in which scores of people have been killed after security forces opened fire on marchers last week.

5. #WINNING: Charlie Sheen has a new sidekick – and he’s Irish. Belfast design student Jonny Campbell has today tweeted that “Team Sheen” had emailed him to congratulate him on winning the internship with the controversial actor.
