A 16-YEAR-OLD girl has died after she was struck by a car on the N11 dual carriageway in Dublin last night.
The girl was struck by the car close to the junction with Kilmacud Road in Stillorgan at approximately 9.15pm as she was attempting to cross the road.
She was pronounced dead at scene before her body was removed to St. Vincent’s Hospital.
The southbound carriageway at the scene was closed to facilitate Garda collision investigators but has now been reopened.
Gardaí are appealing for witnesses to contact Blackrock Garda Station on 01-6665200.
A full post-mortem is due to take place later today.
