WATCH: Meeting descends into laughter as mayor leaves mic on in the toilet

‘When nature calls, even the mayor has to go.’

After days of perhaps understandable silence, Ross said today he wasn’t embarrassed by the incident, joking with the Austin American-Statesman newspaper that it was an example of his commitment to open and transparent government.

I think the average person can relate to this, that even the mayor — when nature calls — has to go.
