• Aer Lingus is aiming to maintain its 2010 passenger levels through this year, but says it is optimistic it may actually improve on that figure, RTÉ reports.
• A Libyan woman slipped into a hotel journalists are staying at in Tripoli to tell them she had been beaten and raped by Gaddafi’s militiamen, Reuters reports. The woman showed bruises and scars to the foreign media gathered at the hotel before being forcibly removed by security and bundled into a car.
• Thousands of people gathered in London today to protest public spending cuts. Some, according to Alex Mostrous of the Times, were carrying somewhat explicit signs outlining their views.
• Hope you weren’t banking on a Sunday morning lie-in… The clocks go forward one hour at 1am tomorrow morning. Russia says it’s only doing one more time change.
• Earth Hour hits Ireland at 8.30pm tonight. People are being urged to turn their lights off for one hour to mark a commitment to tackling climate change. The event has been moving westwards from New Zealand and a number of famous landmarks are participating, such as Malaysia’s Petronas Towers:
