Man dies after early morning car and van crash in Wexford

The collision happened on the N11 after 4.30am.

A MAN IN his 20s has died after the car he was driving crashed with a van on a the N11 in Wexford.

The collision happened between the village of Oylegate and Kyle’s Cross at about 4.35am this morning.

The deceased man was pronounced dead at the scene before his body was removed to Wexford General Hospital where a post-mortem is expected to take place.

The van driver, a man in his 40s, was also taken to Wexford General Hospital with gardaí saying that he suffered minor injuries.

The N11 is closed in both directions in the vicinity of the crash with local diversions now in place.

Any witnesses to the crash are being asked to contact gardaí.
