WHATSAPP IS STEPPING up its game, rolling out voicecalls to rival the likes of Skype and Viber.

The messaging app, recently snapped up by Facebook last year for billions, rolled out the new feature on Android earlier this month and received largely positive reviews.

Now, this update has started arriving on Apple devices.

While the app now supports voice calls, the function is being rolled out gradually, so you might not be able to place a call just yet.

The app will work in a similar way to the standard Phone app. You’ll be able to see a list of missed, incoming, and outgoing calls. You can also send a message to the person you are speaking to.
