Updated 6.28 pm

A 20-YEAR-OLD woman arrested on suspicion of attempted murder after three men were stabbed in Belfast has been released on bail.

Police were alerted to reports of a disturbance at a home in the York Place area of the city at 12.25am.

When they arrived, one victim, a man in his 20s, was found with stab wounds to his head.

Two other men, both in their 20s, were found with knife injuries a quarter of a mile away from the home.

One man has undergone surgery in hospital for abdominal injuries. The other man suffered a head injury and stab wounds to his neck.

All three men are in a stable condition in hospital.

A 20-year-old woman was subsequently arrested on suspicion of attempted murder but the PSNI said this evening that she has been released on bail “pending further police enquiries”.

“We would like to hear from anyone who was in the York Place area between 12.15am and 1.15am this morning and saw anything that could help us with our investigation,” the PSNI said.

Those with information can contact detectives at Musgrave on the non-emergency number 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
