Woman's body discovered at house in Mayo

Gardaí are investigating.

GARDAÍ IN CLAREMORRIS are investigating the circumstances surrounding the discovery of a body of a woman, aged in her late 40s, at a house in Ballycurrin near Glencorrib, Co Mayo.

The discovery was made when emergency services were called to the house at approximately 4.30pm.

The woman’s body remains at the scene, which has been preserved pending a forensic and technical examination.

The local coroner and the Office of the State Pathologist have been notified.
