1. #EBOLA: A man whose ‘flu-like’ symptoms were being investigated for Ebola in a Dublin hospital has been cleared by medics of having the virus.

2. #SNOOPING: An Irish Independent investigation has revealed that credit unions hired private investigators to obtain customer details using allegedly illegal tactics. The Data Protection Commission is investigating.

3. #SURVIVORS: Childhood sexual abuse in Ireland does enormous economic and social damage to survivors, even well into later life, according to a new report.

4. #TROJAN HORSE: There are dozens of Russian military vehicles massed on the border with Ukraine, Reuters reports. Trucks carrying humanitarian aid from Moscow have yet to cross into the country.

5. #RULING: The Broadcasting Authority of Ireland has ruled that TV3 “did not show due care” in a 2009 documentary about the deaths of Shane Clancy and Sebastian Creane.

6.#ABDUCTION: Concerns have been raised by Government over the number of children being abducted by their parents and taken abroad. A briefing note for Minister Flanagan seen by the Irish Independent noted that the numbers continue to rise each year.

7. #BUTCHERS: A survey by the Irish Farmers Association found that half of pork and bacon sold in butchers’ shops is imported, the Irish Examiner reports. None displayed labelling to show the country of origin.

8. #THEATRE: The Red Kettle Theatre Company in Waterford is set to enter liquidation, the Irish Times reports. It was founded almost 30 years ago.

9. #STAMP: A Labour TD has called for stamps commemorating Irish Party politician John Redmond to be withdrawn.  Eamonn Maloney said Redmond ““promoted, recruited and shamed Irishmen into killing for Great Britain”.
