1. #WEST CORK: Two people have been found alive as a rescue operation for a yacht that went missing off the West Cork coast resumes. The search continues for the third person.

2. #BREACH OF TRUST: Reports seen by The Herald reveal that a number of creches in Dublin were employing staff who were not vetted by gardaí. Tusla found that in another creche there was no heating.

3. #VATICAN: Pope Francis is likely to accept the resignation of Sean Brady as Primate of All Ireland, the Irish Independent reports, following calls abuse survivors for him to do so. The Cardinal wrote to the Pope saying he was prepared to step down.

4. #IRAQ: US troops have found that the situation on Mount Sinjar is not as grave as expected, and a rescue mission looks to be off the cards.

5. #HEALTH: As much as €40 million was spent on plans to build the National Children’s Hospital. The Irish Times reports that most of it will be written off.

6. #RIVER NORE: Concerns have been raised over the legal advice given to Kilkenny County Council over the construction of a bridge in the city.

7. #PLEBISCITE: Minster Alan Kelly has been warned that five or more referendums could be held next year, the Irish Times reports. These would include same-sex marriage and a reduction in voting age.

8. #THESE ARE FAKE HANDS: A report has found that a pilot crashed on landing after his fake arm became detached. According to the Irish Examiner, no one was hurt in the incident.

9. KNOCK KNOCK: Who’s there? The 150,000 expected to begin arriving to Knock today for the annual novena at the Basilica of Our Lady.
