Man arrested by gardaí investigating the murder of Andrew Guerrine

Andrew Guerrine’s body was found in the same location as abandoned baby Maria in Rathcoole in Dublin.

A MAN has been arrested by gardaí investigating the murder of Andrew Guerrine. 

The 37-year-old was arrested this afternoon in the Tallaght area under the provisions of Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act 1984.

The man is currently detained at Clondalkin Garda Station. 

Gardaí said that investigations are continuing.

The body of Andrew Guerrine was discovered at Steelstown Lane near Rathcoole, Co. Dublin, the same location where the abandoned baby Maria was found.

Preliminary results from the post-mortem examination have been furnished to investigating gardaí, however details have not been released for operational reasons.

However, gardaí have confirmed that Guerrine died in violent circumstances.
