Pics: Frustrated students take to Twitter as problems hit CAO website

One user wrote: “I’ve just had my parents in sitting on my bed as I was rejected by a website. CAO, you’re destroying my family.” Users are being urged to refresh the site if encountering problems.

STUDENTS WHO ARE accessing the CAO website this morning in order to ascertain whether or not they secured a first round offer have been urged to be patient and refresh the website if they’re having problems.

A number of frustrated users have taken to Twitter to complain that the website of the Central Applications Office has not been working this morning as the first round offer for places at third level institutions are announced.

The CAO’s general advice is for users to refresh the website if encountering any initial problems.

Joseph O’Grady, Operations Manager from the CAO told Morning Ireland that the website was “very, very busy” this morning but added that it was running “really, really smoothly”.

But here’s a selection of tweets from frustrated users so far:

Passports should have DNA and fingerprints. That’s the only way to fully stop identity theft.

Or maybe an iris scan too.

    Oh and dental records.

Are the boobs and the female athletes somehow related? The wording of the “42″ is very vague.
