Hobbs announces resignation from The Consumer Show on Twitter

Hobbs made his announcement on Twitter this morning. He had been a co-presenter for each of its previous three seasons.

EDDIE HOBBS HAS resigned from RTÉ’s The Consumer Show.

The financial advisor, presenter and author made the announcement earlier today on Twitter.

The show, which had run for three seasons, was billed by the national broadcaster as being about “helping you know and fight for your rights”.

When contacted by TheJournal.ie about the news, Hobbs’ responded by email, saying that he had “nothing further to add tbh at this time.”

Hobbs had previously fronted the shows Rip Off Republic and Show Me The Money, both of which had also been shown on RTÉ.

The Consumer Show is produced by Coco Television, who still list it among its “current hit series”.

When contacted, a spokesperson from the production company said that the show was not currently on air and that the people involved in it would not be be back until next year.

Hobbs had presented the show with Keelin Shanley and Bill Tyson.
