Emergency landing at Dublin Airport

A Tenerife-bound Thomas Cook flight with 323 passengers and crew on board made an emergency landing at Dublin Airport this morning.

THOMAS COOK FLIGHT TCX2038 made an emergency landing at around 10am this morning at Dublin Airport.

The Manchester to Tenerife flight, with around 323 passengers and crew on board, diverted to Dublin after the captain became aware of a technical issue and requested a priority landing.

“The plane landed after smoke was seen in the cabin,” a spokesperson for the DAA said.

The aircraft was met by airport services as is standard procedures in such cases, but no action was required by them.

A spokesperson for Thomas Cook Airlines said:

All passengers and crew are safe and are being looking after in the terminal. We are now working to minimise the delay and sourcing another aircraft to get our holidaymakers to Tenerife as quickly as possible.
