What can I get around Ireland for... €500,000 or so?

ARE YOU LOOKING to buy a home in the new year? Like most house hunters, you no doubt have a set budget in mind. Each week, we take a look at homes at a specific price point, to give you an idea of what’s on the market in a given price range.
This week, we’re taking a look at some of the more high-end properties, priced at €500,000 and under.
Glanmire, Cork — €475,000
Hidden down a cul-de-sac, 37 Chestnut Meadows has a secluded, private feel despite being part of a larger estate. Built in 2005, this family home has been well cared for, and comes to the market in wonderful condition.
There’s lots of storage space, including big wardrobes in all bedrooms, and there’s a garage to the rear, too. As well as this, it’s a mere fifteen-minute drive to Cork city.
Rathoath, Co Meath — €480,000
