Man critical after Cork car crash

The driver of the car has been taken to hospital with serious injuries.

A MAN IN his 20s has been taken to hospital with serious injuries following a car crash in county Cork.

Gardaí say he is in a critical condition at Cork University Hospital.

The single-car collision occurred on the R576 Kanturk to Mallow Road at about 12.55am today.

The Kanturk to Mallow Road from Bannagh Cross to the junction with the Mallow/Killarney Road is closed to allow the forensic team to complete its examination. Diversions are in place.

The injured man was the sole occupant of the car.
