A BOMB ATTACK AT MOGADISHU Airport in Somalia has killed eight people. African Union security officers told AFP that a suicide car bomb exploded at the main entrance, which is usually guarded by AU troops. A second bomb exploded inside the airport compound. The fatalities include AU soldiers. Yesterday, Somalia’s interim government said it expects a surge in Islamist rebel attacks as the month of Ramadan ends.
