Poll: Are ministers' St Patrick's Day trips worth the money they cost?

More than €700,000 was spent between 2011 and 2014 sending ministers on trips for the national holiday. How do you feel about it?

THIS MORNING WE revealed that more than €700,000 has been spent between 2011 and 2014 sending ministers on trips abroad for the St Patrick’s Day period.

Enda Kenny’s annual visits to the US cost more than all other ministerial trips for the national holiday combined. It has been argued that these trips help highlight Ireland’s attractiveness as a tourist destination and, most importantly, as a place to invest.

But we want to know what you think: Are ministers’ St Patrick’s Day trips worth the money they cost?

Poll Results:

No, they're a waste of money (4804)
Yes, I think they help (4629)
I'm not sure (574)
