Ghost estates coming to an end

Nama has said that the remaining 47 ghost estates still left on its books will be completed by the end of this year.

Property prices rising

House prices outside of Dublin rose by 13% in the final three months of last year, according to new figures, while prices in the capital rose by just 3% in comparison.

Under Construction

• There are plans to give Dún Laoghaire shopping centre a €10 million makeover, including a modernisation of the exterior of the centre (see below). The work will be completed by 2017, if approved. 

• The government has agreed to extra funding for flood relief with an extra €10 million provided to local authorities to assist with the clean up.
