Two men injured in a shooting in Ballyfermot

Two males, one aged 53 and the other in his early 20s were shot but their injuries are not thought to be life threatening.

TWO MEN RECEIVED gun shot wounds this evening in a shooting in Ballyfermot.

The shooting incident occurred at approximately 10.20pm this evening at Clifden Drive, Ballyfermot.

Two males, one aged 53 and the other in his early 20s were shot and the two men were taken to St. James hospital.

Their injuries not believed to be life threatening.

The area has been sealed off for a technical examination.

Gardai in Ballyfermot are appealing for witnesses or anyone who may have seen suspicious or unusual behaviour in the vicinity of Cliften Drive, Ballyfermot between 10pm and 10.30pm to contact them on 01 6667200, the Garda Confidential Line on 1800 666 111 or any Garda station.
