Two due in court over Blanchardstown robbery

Two men are due to appear in court in connection with the robbery of an off-licence in Dublin earlier this week.

TWO MEN ARE to appear before a District Court Blanchardstown this morning in connection with the robbery of an off-licence on Clonsilla Road in Dublin earlier this week.

Gardaí in Blanchardstown arrested two males aged in their early 20s and early 40s on Saturday 19 January in relation to a robbery which occurred at a off-licence on Clonsilla Road, Dublin, 15 at approximately 3pm on Friday 18 January.

One man, believed to have been armed with a firearm, entered the off-licence, threatened staff and left with an amount of cash – while a second male remained outside the off-licence in a waiting vehicle, Gardaí say.

No shots were fired and nobody was injured during the incident.

Both men are currently detained at Blanchardstown Garda Station under Section 30 of the Offences Against the State Act.
