A MAN HAS been arrested in connection with the shooting dead of former Real IRA member Alan Ryan last year.
The man in his 20s was arrested in the Dublin area this morning and is currently being detained at Coolock Garda station in Dublin.
He is the fifth person to be arrested as part of the investigation into the shooting dead of Ryan in Clongriffin in north Dublin on the afternoon of 3 September last year.
More than 20 people have been arrested in connection with the discharge of firearms at Ryan’s funeral which was led by some mourners dressed in paramilitary-style clothes.
