Man (30s) dies from injuries he sustained in New Year's Day assault
Another man has been charged in relation to the incident.
A MAN HAS been charged after another man died following a serious assault in Roscommon early on New Year’s Day.
The assault occurred in Ballaghadereen, Co. Roscommon, at 1am on 1 January.
The injured party was taken to Beaumont Hospital with critical injuries. He has since passed away.
A man in his 40s was arrested following the assault. He has now been charged in relation to the incident and will appear before Roscommon District Court this morning Sunday 4 January 2025 at 10am.
Gardaí said that investigations ongoing.
