Two men charged over assault of man in Temple Bar

Gardaí have identified the critically injured man after a public appeal.

TWO MEN HAVE been charged in connection with the alleged attack of a man in Temple Bar in Dublin earlier this week.

The men – aged in their 20s and 30s – were arrested on Friday and are due to appear before Dublin District Court at the Criminal Courts of Justice tomorrow at 10.30am.

Investigations are ongoing according to a garda spokesperson.

The critically injured man, whose age is unknown, remains in care at Beaumont Hospital after the incident on Cope Street, Dublin 2, at around 12.30am on Wednesday morning.

Gardaí had released an image of a distinctive tattoo in a bid to identify the man, announcingyesterday that the man had been successfully identified after the public appeal.
