Biography

He was elected a member of Fingal County Council in 2004 and served as a councillor before being elected to the Dáil in 2011. A former mayor of Fingal County Council, in 2013 he was appointed head of delegation to the OSCE (Organisation for Security & Co-Operation in Europe). He is a member of a number of Dáil committees including the Justice, Equality and Defence committee.
