Biography

She unsuccessfully contested both the 2009 local elections and the 2011 general election before she was appointed as a senator in 2011 by the Taoiseach. A barrister by profession, she is the Labour Party Seanad spokesperson on foreign affairs, trade and reform.

As a senator I have worked tirelessly on behalf of East Galway residents. I can achieve much more for our area if I am elected of the Dáil.

What is your number one priority for your constituency?

I will put Galway East at the heart of Ireland\'s economic recovery. Delivering sustainable jobs and strong investment into our communities.

What one thing would you like to do in your first 100 days of the new Dáil if you are elected?

Seek funding for the advancement of Western Rail Trail Greenway from Athenry to Sligo to encourage tourists, investment and jobs to these areas of Galway East.
