Biography

He was first elected as a Leitrim county councillor in 1985 and served on the council until he withdrew from the local elections in 2014. During that time, he also served twice as a TD and served as a senator. This will be his first time running in a general election since he lost his Dáil seat in 2002.

I come with a dual experience in the political and business world which gives me practical knowledge on how the political and business world works.

What is your number one priority for your constituency?

Jobs, and attracting them to areas in my constituency. We need to make job creation easier for businesses!

What one thing would you like to do in your first 100 days of the new Dáil if you are elected?

Ensure that we have an achievable plan in place to deliver accessible broadband service to every small town and village in the constituency.
