      Robert Connolly will be contesting his first election as a Socialist Party candidate in the Dublin Mid West constituency. Connolly was active in the anti water charges protests of the mid 1990s.

      Connolly is a supporter of Liverpool Football Club, and has a Masters in Musicology from UCD.
