Councillor Robert Dowds is one of two Labour Party candidates in Dublin Mid-West. Dowds, who has been a member of the Labour Party since 1970, has been one of Clondalkin's five representatives on South Dublin County Council since 1999. He currently teaches at Scoil Mochua, a school for young people with physical disabilities in Clondalkin.
