The Green Party have nominated Donna Cooney as their candidate in Dublin North Central. Cooney's last general election campaign in the constituency was in 1997 when she was eliminated on the third count having received less than 4 per cent of first preferences. Cooney also ran unsuccessfully in local election campaigns in 1999, 2004 and 2009.
