Outgoing Labour deputy Ruairi Quinn will once again stand as the party's candidate in Dublin South-East. With the exception of a nine-month period in 1981/1982, Quinn has served continuously as the constituency's TD since 1977. During his time in Dáil Eireann, he has held three separate ministerial portfolios - Environment, Enterprise and Employment, and Finance. He is currently the party's Spokesperson on Education and Science.
