Alongside Alan Shatter, Olivia Mitchell is one of two outgoing Fine Gael TDs who will be hoping to retain their seat in the competitive Dublin South constituency. Mitchell has been a TD for the constituency since 1997 and has been present on the Fine Gael front benches for the past nine years. She is currently the party's Spokesperson on Competition & Consumer Protection. Prior to becoming a full-time public representative, Mitchell taught economics and business studies in schools on the south side of Dublin.
