Labour's Spokesperson for Finance, Joan Burton, is seeking re-election for a fourth term as TD for Dublin West. Burton, who formerly worked as a chartered accountant for Price Waterhouse, represented the constituency from 1992-1997 and from 2002 to the present day. In 2007, she received 17 per cent of first preferences which was enough to see her elected without reaching the quota. She is currently the Deputy Leader of the Labour Party.
