Outgoing TD Johnny Brady is seeking a fourth term in Dáil Eireann as a Fianna Fáil candidate in Meath West. A former farmer, Brady was first elected as a representative of the Meath five-seater in 1997 and, despite changes in the constituency boundaries, held on to his seat in both 2002 and 2007. He most recently served as Chair of the Oireachtas Committee on Agriculture and Food.
