Jobs boost for Dublin as Symantec creates 400 positions

Two hundred of the jobs are expected immediately, with the subsequent 200 coming in the next two years.

THERE WILL BE  a welcome jobs boost for Dublin later this morning as Symantec announces the creation of a new European Customer Management Centre.

Two hundred new jobs are expected this year with a further 200 coming before the end of 2014.

The IDA-supported development was welcomed by the Taoiseach, who paid tribute to Ireland’s “talented and flexible workforce”.

The Internet security giant said it is looking for a multilingual team for the Dublin centre, which will be located with its other units in Blanchardstown.
