AFTER A MASSIVE technical hiccup yesterday, the Lotto draw went ahead this evening without a hitch.
And there’s one person in the east of the country who is going to be especially happy about it.
Yesterday’s fault – the first in decades – was due to a service outage “related to the 3G telecommunications infrastructure provided by Telefónica”.
It was ‘entirely out of the National Lottery’s control’, a spokesperson said.
Machines were back up and running yesterday evening at around 6pm.
However, the draw was pushed back until tonight.
The winning numbers were 9, 10, 18, 20, 24, 26, and the bonus number 35.
The winning ticket was bought in the east, worth €10,230,560. We’re not jealous at all.
