GARDAÍ INVESTIGATING the murder of paramilitary leader Alan Ryan almost three months ago have arrested a man this morning.
The man, in his 50s, is being detained at Coolock Garda Station under Section 30 of the Offences Against The State Act, 1939.
Ryan was killed in a mid-afternoon shooting at Grange Lodge Avenue in Clongriffin, Dublin 13, on September 3 of this year.
He had been convicted in 2001 of taking part in a Real IRA training camp in Meath, and had another conviction for firearms possession.
His paramilitary funeral was led by several masked members of the Real IRA and witnesses shots being fired into the air as a military salute.
