Man remains in custody after body found at house in Limerick

Local media report that a murder investigation has been launched.

A MAN REMAINS in custody this morning following the discovery of a body in Limerick city early yesterday the morning.

The man, aged in this 50s, was detained at the scene by gardaí.

The Limerick Leader reports that gardaí have launched a murder investigation, as the victim, aged in his late 30s or early 40s, is believed to have died in violent circumstances.

The man’s body was found at a house in the Barrack Hill area of the city early yesterday after gardaí responded to reports of an incident at the house.

It is believed a second scene at Singland Cross was also sealed off yesterday.
