Man's body recovered from Carrauntoohil
It’s believed the man fell while hiking yesterday.
A MAN’S BODY was recovered on Carrauntoohil by Kerry Mountain Rescue yesterday evening.
Shortly after 2pm yesterday, Kerry Mountain Rescue contacted the Coast Guard for assistance after a report of someone falling on the mountain.
The Coast Guard’s rescue helicopter 115, which is based at Shannon, responded.
It helped transport the mountain rescue team, which recovered the man’s body later that evening.
