Plastics manufacturer to create 150 jobs with Leixlip expansion
MGS Mfg. Group, which supplied manufactured solutions to the plastics industry, is expanding at the HP campus.

A PLASTICS MANUFACTURING company is to create 150 jobs over the next three years with the establishment of a manufacturing centre in Co Kildare.

MSG Manufacturing Group, which provides “engineered manufacturing solutions to the plastics industry”, will set up a facility at the Hewlett Packard campus in Leixlip.

The company says it is to invest $12 million (€9.15 million) in the facility over the next three years.

The investment is being supported by the government through IDA Ireland.

MGS Manufacturing general manager Michael Cummins said the facility would support key Irish customers like Hewlett Packard, as well as helping the company to service other European markets.

“We are pleased with the talented workforce in the region and to join the many premier multinational companies that call Ireland home,” he said.

Jobs minister Richard Bruton said the development of the facility was “great news and a strong indication of the potential for jobs in this area”.

“I am determined that, with continued strong implementation of the Action Plan for Jobs we will see further announcements like this in the near future,” Bruton added.
