Government grants are a very important element of purchasing an electric car as they make them far more affordable. There are numerous grants available from the SEAI grant, to the home charger grant, and even a VRT rebate of up to €5,000.

Charging times vary massively depending on what way you’re charging it. There are 3 pin cables that will increase the battery by 3kw per hour which is very slow – however, home chargers can charge the battery by 7kw per hour, and the fast chargers by much more depending on which one is used.
