Man in court after motorcyclist in his 20s killed in collision with van

The van driver and a passenger were uninjured.

A MAN HAS appeared in court this afternoon in connection with a road crash which killed a 25-year-old man yesterday evening.

His motorcycle crashed into a van on the Nurney to Kildare road close to Walterstown Cross at around 6.15pm.

The male motorcyclist was pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver of the van and his male passenger were uninjured.

A 35-year-old man was arrested following the collision, he appeared before Naas District Court charged with road traffic offences.

Witnesses to the collision are asked to contact Kildare garda station on 045 527730, the Garda confidential line on 1800 666 111 or any garda station.
