HARBOURS ARE BEING checked in Co. Down, the Isle of Man and in Liverpool for any sign of a sailor who set out from the Isle of Man yesterday.
The 4o-year-old man contacted his brother yesterday morning to say he was on his way from the port town of Peel to Ardglass in Down, according to the Belfast Telegraph.
However he failed to make contact with relatives since, and the coastguard was alerted.
A lifeboat has been launched from Portferry in Down and an aircraft is also involved in the search.
The man has been living on his boat in Liverpool, and left there for the Isle of Man on Friday.
