Biography
Fitzmaurice has been an Independent TD for Roscommon since 2014. A former Galway County Councillor, Fitzmaurice was a founding member of the Independent Alliance, but left the party when they entered government with Fine Gael. In February 2014, he joined the Independent Ireland Party. He is chairperson of the Turf Cutters and Contractors Association (TCCA).
