Ó Mhurchú has been a TD for Louth since 2020. A member of Louth County Council between 2017 and 2020 representing the Dundalk South local electoral area, Mhurchú is the spokesperson on communications and broadband for Sinn Féin. He graduated from DCU with a degree in Computer Applications.

I was first elected to the Dáil in 2020 to replace Gerry Adams in Louth. Since then, I have worked hard for the people of Dundalk and Louth and I want to continue that work by running for election again.

In a supposedly cash-rich society, services are threadbare and very poor. People, particularly those with disabilities and those whose children have autism, have to fight for every single assessment, appointment and help. Behind the facade of services in housing, education, healthcare, mental health and disability provision are services that are stretched to the limit and some that are broken.

I would like if I was speaking in support of a Sinn Féin government and Taoiseach that was
committed to delivering on housing, healthcare, disability services, the cost of living and all the
other issues impacting on people.
